Hello. Is there any plans to support one commander on Linux? This probably hasn’t happened yet because there are some serious difficulties. The only reason why I don't switch to Linux is one commander. :)

OC is built on WPF which is Windows-only UI framework, so it is not possible as Microsoft will never make it cross-platform. But honestly, I used Linux total of a few days in my life so I only remember frustrations I had with it, and while I personally dislike Windows more and more every day (especially 11) as user, developer and system admin (my day job), I still prefer it over Linux.

Linux has a Wine emulator that lets you run Windows applications. I can guess. Will Onecommander work this way? Is there a relationship between the OS and the files so that the app works like File Explorer?

I assume it should work with Wine as that one will translate the calls. The only thing I know that might break is with some files that contain unsuppored characters for Windows, as I've seen reports of crash when filename contained : (other than the drive separator) or "|" as linux supports those and even names newline character and multiple lines of text in name, and Windows doens't have APIs to work with those.

You probably prefer it just because you haven't used it enough. As you said, you've only used it a few days, ever.
One Commander has been the best application I've found for file management on Windows (even though it's not perfect - to me).
However, I also use Linux and the built-in file manager (for many) is Dolphin and it has a big problem that makes me unable to use it.
I searched around for some other options and found several other 'Commander' type options. Tried some and found one that's usable,
but they all have pretty ugly interfaces and other weird things going on. I miss One Commander because it's the closest I've come to
finding something that's perfect for me. Obviously, with the tools you've used, there's no option to port it easily to Linux, but for
those of us who do use it... We wouldn't say no to a Qt (or something) based one (even if you left out a lot of the more advanced features
that I don't use anyways)

Look into WinpodX

It's better and easier to set up and use than wine and it can pretty much run any normal windows app in linux (except for games). I haven't got time to test it myself but it should handle running OC easily. It's basically reverse WSL. What Windows Subsystem for Linux does for linux apps on windows Windpodx does for windows apps on linux and it is much easier to use than wine and all the other stuff out there.
