When I plug my phone to laptop via USB, a folder of phone  appears in Windows Default File Explorer but similar thing does not appear in One Commander. How do I get my phone folder in One Commander?

Phones use MTP protocol which is buggy and can cause data loss and due to that responsibility (and that there is little documentation on it) it is not implemented.

OneCommander will accept the filedrop from Explorer listing content of the phone, but then it is the responsibility of Explorer to manage the protocol.

You can find the related information on the post I made on GGroups

https://groups.google.com/g/onecommander/c/igMVqW-b0Qo/m/1dqwVTY8DgAJ

which includes my workaround for accessing phone storage wirelessly from One Commander.

So far I was using MS Explorer + Clover for tabs, a friend of mine showed me her "Total Commander" so, since I was always looking for a Clover replacement, I did some research and finally installed OneCommander. It's really neat, but in order to replace MS Explorer, it needs to do *everything* Explorer can do, and more. It's OK that the MTP protocol is buggy, etc., etc., but purist views generally don't attract users, features do. I was tempted to replace MS Explorer with OneCommander, but then I will jump through hoops when I occasionally connect the phone. Please consider implementing it. "Total Commander" can handle the phone ("Double Commander" can't). Maybe I should start a wish list in a different thread.
Jörg.

There is barely any documentation for MTP protocol and it would take me months to implement it, and I don't see the returns on the invested time.
Most people never move files between phone and PC, or they just use DropBox, Google Photos/Drive, or Synology suite, or other sync utility, or use AirDroid, or just take microSD card to transfer files at high speed without chances of data loss. At least half people don't use Android, and of the rest I doubt there is more than 1% of users who do need it, and even they will need it once every few weeks, and for those occasions there is always Explorer or that workaround through SFTP.
I'll look at some point for ways to open phone in Explorer directly from OC,
or add button to launch native "Photo Import wizard" button - as when you
Start>type Run> and paste
rundll32.exe "C:\Program Files\Windows Photo Viewer\photoAcq.dll",PhotoAndVideoAcquire
but there are no plans to implement browsing in OC no matter the number of votes for it. Sorry.

I mostly use MyPhoneExplorer. And I move audio files to the phone and pictures from the phone. Very rarely via the USB connection. Right now I have a hotch-potch of "explorer windows", if I open a folder on the desktop, I get MS Explorer, Windows+E gives OC (I set it like this). I also set up Rocketdock to launch folders via OC . I'd like to try replacing Explorer with OC, but then there needs to be a convenient way to get back to Explorer. So the "open phone in Explorer directly from OC" would be useful.
