Sorry, this won't be positive feedback.

1. Don't like that the folder name is now displayed across the "content pane". I know where I am, it's displayed above in the "location bar".
2. Don't like that the striping is gone, it's all 100% white now.
3. The arrows for the sorting the columns are super tiny.

I didn't check the preferences whether this can be changed, but the default is no good.

Back to version 3.

Jörg.

Thanks for the feedback.
1. It is an option in settings (Search "back" to find "Show folder name in background")
2. Please clarify what you meant with "striping" and what is white now?
3. I'll have to recheck it but I remember testing with larger arrow and for some reason decided it didn't look right (even if I increase size of the header text so a larger arrow wouldn't overlap when it is under text (for example the sort by Type))

V3:

V4:

I'm not hallucinating, there are stripes in V3.
Anecdote: Thunderbird had stripes ages ago, they removed them, so now people use custom CSS to get the stripes back.

Spot the arrow:

And here, without the hint. Where is it?

(right, in the Date column)

Thunderbird has the arrow to the right of the text label, than it doesn't clash with the label.

I see what you mean.
In v4 I plan to make stripes option in settings and not part of the theme, so it can be toggled for any theme. That's one of the next things I'll be adding

Selected sort header on light theme has that gray background, and on dark it has underline; just experimenting what is possible to customize with the theme file.
I'll see what I can do for the light theme. Arrow after the label is tricky, because column text like Type already barely fits - select it and see. If I add arrows to all, that one would end up being Ty..^

Hmm, well, in V3 there are no column headings, so I thought, hey, OC takes a fresh approach here and gets rid of the unnecessary headings. And now they are back. Of course they are needed as a handle to move columns around. I haven't looked whether this is the intent. So far, columns were fixed.

I just gave in to all the complaints of no headings, but there is also a plan for a decluttered version with just arrows, because "Bestandstype" or "Dateityp" wont fit "Type" and there will likely be other similar situations
