Hi
Recently i've been testing using Twitter/Instant messaging, besides SMS to OBA interfaces. If you want to take it out for a spin.
I made a post on the subject at http://www.ngeosone.com/?p=54, even thought it's written using NYC as an example it should run fine with Detroit, Atlanta , Seattle (still has some issues)

Very cool! I'm sure Twitter users will love that.
This also looks like a possible low-cost (albeit slightly less user-friendly) alternative to hosting your own OBA SMS provider.
We look forward to testing this further in Tampa after we wrap up our experiment.
