Hi all - at the OneBusAway project meeting in Washington DC in January we decided to put the project on a somewhat more formal footing, with a board of directors. The attached document describes the model - it's intended to be relatively light weight but to get the job done. (In particular, transit agencies who are using OneBusAway or considering it generally will want at least a bit of structure.) There are slots for 6 board members, 3 from agencies and 3 from universities and research institutions. Right now we've got the following members:
- De Meyers, Sound Transit
- Sean Barbeau, University of South Florida
- Alan Borning, University of Washington
- Kari Watkins, Georgia Tech
There are two unfilled agency positions (in particular, we don't have anyone at this point from MTA in New York although we'd like to).
Please let me or any of the other members know if you have any questions or concerns! (I'll be on vacation for the first part of next week, so there may be a little delay in my responding - but I will get back to you.)
cheers,
Alan
