Hi there

I've found you project really interesting, a valid alternative to
other vnc projets.
I'm interested to nat-to-nat connections, in situations like :

SERVER ---| FIREWALL/ROUTER |----| WEB |---| FIREWALL/ROUTER |--
CLIENT

Using vnc i have used a server with reverse connection mapped to an ip
address
provided services like by no-ip. Client side with a no-ip tools i can
receive
remote connections.

Java Remote Control permits reverse connections? So the server connect
to a specified
ip?

Best regards

Good job!

You can achieve a reverse connection in Java Remote Control. To do
this you use the hub server. Set up the hub server on a PC that can
accept connections. Connect the Server to the hub and then connect the
client to the hub.

See this page: http://www.onestonesoup.org/ProjectRemoteControlServerHub

Hi

As i understand the hub must be placed on a "public" machine, i cannot
do this.

But if can be used this configuration :

10.0.0.23 81.31.13.145 80.13.199.34 10.0.0.14
_____________
| |
| ME<-->HUB |<--> NO-IP <-------> NAT <----------> SERVER
-------------|

i solved my problem. NoIp is a dynamic dns service, so my local ip can
be viewed outside my local network

The hub can be locally placed and the server configured to reach the
no-ip address, so all requests can arrive to me...

If this is ok, i can start to write a little "single click"
configurator. A little application based on your project for "dummy"
users.

Best regards

Hi

i see i can use http-hub as a "concentrator" of connection of clients
and servers but it must reside on a reachable machine...and i cannot
have one.

I have an access to a no-ip (a dynamic dns server ) account so all
requests can be forwarded to my local ip, can i use this in an any
way?

The server can connect to the hub throught no-ip ?

if yes i connect to the hub (locally placed) and all can works fine

if yes i can write a "single click" configurator to generate a jar,
automatically configured to connect to an hub, a tools useful for
dummy users ;)

situation :

ME (ip 10.0.1.12)<-->[NAT]<-->NO-IP (81.31.12.144)?---?[NAT]?---?
SERVER (ip 10.1.1.1)

Best regards
