Personalizing the Course

The Course can seem rather "heady" and intellectual, with a metaphysical ontology that can challenge the most esoteric of thinkers, and a verse that can bewilder a master Shakespearian.  Yet, it is incredibly practical and uncannily personal.  As a matter of fact, it's not the Course's "headiness" that impels people to put it down, but the fact that it gets way too personal for them.

The Course tells us that what we must ultimately learn is that "There is nothing outside you" and that what you think is outside of you, a.k.a., the world, is an "outward picture of an inward condition."  It doesn't get more personal than that. So, what is this "inward condition," how do we distinguish it, and how do we shift it, so that the "outward picture" is one of peace, love and joy?  

Rev. Tony is the Spiritual Director of Unity Center of the Heights, based in Cleveland Heights, OH. He facilitates two ACIM study groups, one in Hudson, OH and the other at Unity Center, where 30+ people show up each week to deepen their understand of the Course's personal application.   

Rev. Tony has created a number of trainings and several weekend workshops based on The Course. Beyond Forgiveness is a 30 hr. weekend intensive, totally based on The Course. This workshop is given once per year, the next one being November 1-2-3. Creating Holy Relationships is also entirely based on The Course, also offered once per year, with the next one to be scheduled in 2014. Out of the Matrix (OM) is a unique, 20 hr. weekend workshop wholly based on Course principals, yet expressed in secular terms (e.g.,' Holy Spirit' becomes 'Your Inner Guide'), and is described through applied kinesiology, along with the latest scientific evidence.  The principles of the Course are presented in such an acceptable way in Out of the Matrix, that it is currently being taught as an accredited class in some area high schools. The next weekend workshop will be held September 13-14-15 at Unity Center.
