It was great to see everyone at the meet up last night. And thanks to dubLUDO for letting us grab some space to show off the games!

July's theme is:

KAWAII!!!!
かわいい

A Japanese word for cute and adorable, which is often used to describe a certain type of cuteness. Examples below, with loads more inspiration to be found with a Google image search.

And so on. In previous months the theme has suggested settings, or game play types, this month the word kind of indicates a feeling, or aesthetic. But again, just like every month, the theme is completely optional. If you'd like to work on something else then wonderful, and I can't wait to see it :)

I'm looking forward to this month, and really hope to get something together for the next meetup. Good luck everyone!

Just want to share what I'm going to try and build for July. So far no work has been done on this yet.

The idea is Suicidal Tamagotchi

- you have a virtual pet
- you feed it, play with it, pick up its poo, just like in the original tamagotchi toys
- from the very beginning your tamagotchi is always a bit sad, eventually becoming incredibly depressed
- eventually (no matter how attentive you are) it will commit suicide
- from then on every time you try and play you just get to see a gravestone (like the incredible You Only Live Once)

If I can do it artwise, I'll try and make it look like the original toys
