The Table Tunes are the original tables to music and a huge amount of research and trialling went into their development. Initially designed for classroom use, they are the most popular multiplication table teaching CD in schools and now also in the parent market. Parents usually hear about them from teacher recommendations or other parents boasting of their child's success.

Multiplication tables, times tables, tables chart, math tables ..... they have different names in different countries but its still essential for every student to learn the multiplication tables. Without the times tables in their memory theyll struggle with maths and fall behind their class. Fortunately every child will be successful at learning times tables when he or she uses the Table Tunes CD. And theyll enjoy learning because theyll be listening and singing to tunes specially composed for their age group.

The composer is renowned for his childrens TV and film music but he has also written over 2,000 advertising jingles and its his skill with writing catchy music that makes the Table Tunes music so memorable ... so unforgettable. We often hear of very young children, pre-school children, singing along to the Table Tunes because their siblings are singing them. These young children know the times tables before they even start school!!!

Some children have difficulty learning the multiplication tables, that is until they discover the Table Tunes .... then success and big smiles. Succeeding is very important for a childs self esteem! And so they can enjoy future more difficult maths.

The Table Tunes are not just for those children having difficulty learning the times tables. They help every child enjoy learning this important part of maths. Thats why so many teachers use them..... and recommend them. Heres one teachers comment:

"The Table Tunes are enjoyable for both teachers and students. The music is just great. As a parent I use them with my own children. As head of Junior School I find them the best, most appealing and enjoyable resource for helping children learn their times tables".

The website Songs for Teaching has a huge selection of songs and raps for multiplication. But honestly, none of them are that catchy for us. We did buy Music with Mar from this website. I like that you can preview all the songs.

More parents than you might think are faced with a heart-wrenching, breath-catching anxiety every time their child needs to learn a new and difficult math concept. Including, but certainly not limited to, multiplication facts.

When I was in about third grade, I was first introduced to those multiplication table worksheets. The ones where you were given a blank grid and you had to race the clock and fill out all of the multiplication facts.

It only took me a few seconds to realize that these worksheets the teachers wanted us to use to practice multiplication were nothing more than a visual representation of those skip counting songs I loved so much.

So I searched the internet to see if I could buy a CD copy for Spencer. I could not find the original Skip Count Kids on CD or digitally, but apparently another awesome homeschool mom saw a need and filled it because she made a new multiplication songs album that I just found on Amazon music! How cool is this?!

Please keep in mind these videos were not uploaded by me and I do not take credit for them. These songs are at least 30 years old (I used them as a child, remember?) And I cannot be sure who the original credit goes to, but this playlist was uploaded to YouTube by TuneCore.

Now I heard a rumor (from a much-appreciated comment made below) that these skip counting kids songs are available on iTunes. I am not familiar with iTunes, so I could not verify this information, but if you are an iTunes fan, it might be worth a glance.

Or, I have heard fantastic things about Times Tales. Times Tales does not use songs to teach times tables, but they do use fun stories to teach multiplication, and the testimonials on this product are absolutely glowing.

Help your kids learn and practice their multiplication tables 1-15 with this fun multiplication card game. The name is nothing fancy (? x ? = ?) but the game packs some great educational punches. Go check it out!

These printable multiplication flash cards were originally created as part of a multiplication worksheets bundle. This collection can be found in this article about free multiplication worksheets.

Grab your skateboard and turntables and get ready to rock out to the multiples of 11 as we skip count by 11 in this fun hip hop song. The 11 times table has never been so suave... so cool... so totally rad and downright hip.

The two, five, and ten times tables, we simple chant. These are the times tables we learn first, and we have so much repetition of them from an early age, that chanting, perhaps while clapping or stamping our feet, is all we need for these ones.

This is the one that got us started with singing our times tables, thanks to the inspiration of Mr. Demaio singing it to UpTown Funk. Check out his super fun video above and see more on his Youtube channel. We focus on singing just the section with the answers which you can hear from minute 1:05 to minute 1:12 on the video.

So with children who are struggling, we unashamedly cheat here! The only entry in the eight times table we learn is 8 x 8 is 64. For every other part, we use one of the other times table songs to find our answer. So for example, for 6 x 8 we sing the six times table.

BIERACH: Well, they're not learning how to play Led Zeppelin songs, that's for sure. Doug Bowers is the southwest regional director of Guitars in the Classroom. Over the past year, he's taught about 200 teachers how to strum songs using just a few simple chords. He's a retired teacher. He used the guitar daily in his classes to teach his students everything from their multiplication tables to the preamble of the Constitution.

Dr. DAWN CORSO: Typically people will have a memory for music more as a whole. So if you're pairing that up with, let's say, song lyrics about multiplication tables, they're going to remember it because they have that sort of gestalt of what that whole song is.
