Dear reader,

I would like to know how to map between DOID (Cancer Subtree) <-> OncoTree.

It seems, there is an indirect way by using crossreferences to NCI:
DOID (Cancer Subtree) <-NCI-> OncoTree.

Questions:
* Is there a direct (or better) way?
* From your experience, do you know the overlap/alignment of DOID (Cancer Subtree) and OncoTree?

Best,
Michael

Hi Michael,

We currently don't support DOID mapping. So as you suggested, you will have to map oncotree to NCIt and then proceed accordingly. We have a mapping tool that should be able to easily map oncotree to NCIt (http://oncotree.mskcc.org/#ontology-to-ontology-mapping-tool). One thing to note is that we are still enhancing the NCI mapping so you might find some non-mapped codes. You can send those over to us and we can prioritize releasing them.

Thanks,
Ritika

Hi Michael,
Did you solve this? Facing the same problem now.
The NCIt <-> Oncotree connection looks pretty straighfoward with http://oncotree.mskcc.org/#ontology-to-ontology-mapping-tool but not sure about the DOID (Cancer Subtree) <-> NCIt Step

Thanks,
Miquel
