Numbers have appeared to be small this summer in southern Ontario, in part because of extremely dry conditions, but I wonder if monarchs have thrived further to the north?
Near Port Hope today, one field near Lake Ontario contained hundreds of monarchs, and with a friend, from 1:30 pm to 3 pm, we captured 225 monarchs to tag.
