Mottled Duskywing or faded Columbine?

Hi all,

I netted this small rapid duskywing in Norfolk County and I have to say my experience with Mottled Duskywing and Columbine Duskywing is rather limited (I believe it to be one of these species). 

I wouldn't normally expect to confuse these species, so my question is can a Columbine Duskywing (or other duskywing) ever appear this mottled as it ages and fades? Photos attached.

Hi Adam,

This is definitely a Mottled Duskywing. Columbine DW would never show this much dark mottling on both wings.
