Butterfly Atlas

As you may know the herp atlas interactive maps are being removed from the web as of December 1, and indeed I can no longer see any records on them. (https://ontarionature.org/ontario-reptile-and-amphibian-atlas-changes/)

However, the same thing is happening on the butterfly (and moth) atlases - I can request a map, but no data is shown. Can anyone enlighten me and others as to whats happening here - will these resources still be available?

Hi Reuven,

Perhaps you are using old links.  Alan Macnaughton has been working on a new implementation of the Atlas for a couple of years now.  

The new version is here:

http://www.butterfly.ontarioinsects.org/atlas/ 

It works a little differently.   Websites (like mine) with links to the old Atlas will bring up blank maps.

I believe that Alan is working on a similar solution for the herp atlas, but I don't know if it's ready yet.
