German Mills butterflies

During a short walk in German Mills Park, along the path leading northward from the parking area, I saw my first monarch of the year, a female black swallowtail, 2 common ringlets, 1 skipper (no id), 1 blue (no id), and several cabbage whites. The monarch never landed but it appeared to be a female in very good condition.

What parking area do you mean? on Leslie St. N. of Steeles??  that is where I usually park.

Yes, at the top of the hill where the road bends to the left (and becomes a private road).
