Difficulties finalizing ona installation on local Ubuntu server (**NOT** hosted via AWS)

We are trying to spin up a new server with Ona so we can migrate from FormHub.

Following the instructions in the "install.md" file available in the git repo unfortunately leaves us with an inoperable setup. I believe that there are key configuration steps not included in the documentation.

Despite numerous tweaks to local_settings.py, onadata.conf, uwsgi.ini, and nginx.conf, we inevitably end up with the "502 Bad Gateway" error when we attempt to access the web front-end. (So many changes have been attempted, in fact, that a fresh attempt may be necessary).

If you have successfully setup (and are using) ODK Collect on Ubuntu 14 (**NOT managed via AWS**), would you be willing to help us troubleshoot our setup?

Hi! I'm not in any position to help here, but just wondering : Aren't you talking about setting up an independent ODK Aggregate instance of your own? People come to ona.io when they can't do that. Maybe your query is more applicable at ODK's list rather than here?
