UPTOWN NEWS:
From the 10/7/14 edition of “Culture Map Dallas” – The quaint Mason Bar in Uptown will close on 10/18 to be razed for a residential high-rise. The owner and other businesses nearby were informed by the landlord that they’d need to vacate the premises in October. The Mason Bar was first built as a church in 1937, and was a Masonic lodge in the 1950s. The staff are convinced that the place has ghosts. One person actually quit because she swore she saw a ghost there. The timing of this happening regarding this bar seems unfortunate, given the recent controversy over the destruction of a century-old building in downtown Dallas. The owner has asked that the Mason Bar cornerstone be put in the new building and they stated that they would do that.

THE DALLAS SEEN:
As usual many of Dallas’ most prominent were sighted on and off the Avenue last weekend! Here are just a few of those sightings!
On Sunday several greats showed up at the Social House in Addison to watch the Bears vs. Panthers game. Some of the most prominent making appearances were Erminio Lalli, Ray and Nicole Hostetler, and David Nickerson!
