Hello Dallas! I’m back and it's time once again to take a trip down our beloved Avenue! Have a safe and happy Memorial Day!

FOR THURSDAY 5/21/15 –HAPPY HOUR – TACOS AND TEQUILA – 5:30 PM
RIGHT OFF MCKINNEY AVENUE – From the Texas Tech Alumni Association – Dallas Chapter – From 5:30 to 8:30 pm have a little Fiesta; the Tech Alumni chapter is combining forces with the Engineering alumni to give one fun Happy Hour on the roof top of Tacos and Tequila! So throw on your Sombrero and come Fiesta like there is no Manana!! Tacos and Tequila is located at 2800 Routh Street 75201. (The Mayor of Greenville Avenue will make an appearance.)

ON MCKINNEY AVENUE – From Katherine Tappen – Another Dallas Icon Restaurant – Grand Opening! Celebration toast with Patrizio Pineapple & Peach Liqueur 43 at 6 PM complimentary to all guests who are in attendance. There will also be hors d’oeuvres and samplings of the menu passed tapas style. Half priced pizza all night!! Damian Garcia & Company will be entertaining from 6 PM until 8:30 PM. GOGA will be entertaining from 9 PM until 12 am. OFF THE AVENUE – The Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial is the first area PGA tournament this year switching dates with the Byron Nelson. It will be held at the Colonial Country Club.

OFF THE AVENUE – Kick off the holiday weekend with happy hour at the Katy Trail Ice House! Meet the Mayor of Greenville Avenue around 6ish pm for brews, beer ritas and dinner! The Katy Trail Ice House is located at 3127 Routh Street75201. (The Mayor of Greenville Avenue will make an appearance.)

OFF THE AVENUE – The 49th annual Czech heritage festival includes a Saturday morning parade through downtown Ennis, many chances to dance to live polka music (including Brave Combo) and plenty of food (kolaches!).

FOR SUNDAY 5/24/15 – MEMORIAL DAY PARTY – IDLE RICH PUB – 11 AM
ON MCKINNEY AVENUE – Brunch will be served from 11 AM to 4 PM with drink specials. A DJ spins at 9:30 PM. Full menu is available to 11 pm, plus there will be $2 hot dogs. Drinks specials include $5 summer beer, $5 frozen pomeritas and $5 Dublin rum. (The Mayor of Greenville Avenue will make an appearance.)

FOR SUNDAY 5/24/15 – MARGARITA MELTDOWN – BISHOP ARTS DISTRICT- 4 PM
OFF THE AVENUE – One margarita will be crowned the best in Dallas at the 5thAnnual Margarita Meltdown. Ticket holders will have the opportunity to sample the ‘Ritas and vote for their favorite via text message. Tickets are $30 on line, $35 cash only at the door.

THE DALLAS SEEN:
As usual many of Dallas’ most prominent were sighted on and off the Avenue the last few days! Here is one of those sightings!
On Monday a great dinner was had by one and all at the newly opened Chicago pizzeria – Gino’s East in Arlington! Sighted at the event were Robert Cline, Capo, Eddie D (H.O.F.#141), Amy, Maggie, my bro and “Showtime!”
