FOR FRIDAY 10/3/14 – HAPPY HOUR – KATY TRAIL ICE HOUSE AND CRAWL – 7 PM
ON AND OFF MCKINNEY AVENUE – Have beer still on the mind after all of the recent Oktoberfests? Well it’s time for a slow paced bar crawl to some of Uptown’s best! Meet around 7 for dinner and brews at the Katy Trail Ice House. Then it’s off to Blackfriar Pub for another pint. Maybe Renfield’s Corner next or maybe not depending on time, but it’s a guarantee that we finish the night at the Ginger Man! (The Mayor of Greenville Avenue will make an appearance.)

FOR SATURDAY 10/4/14 – FOOD EVENT – MAIN STREET GARDEN – 2 PM
OFF THE AVENUE – From “Dallas Culture Map” – Smoked Dallas is a full day of smoked meats and smokin’ tunes from participants such as Black’s Barbecue, BBQ on the Brazos and Lockhart Smokehouse. Singer-songwriter Bob Schneider and blues/funk/soul band Black Joe Lewis are the headline entertainers. VIP tickets get you a one-hour jump on the BBQ tasting; general admission tickets enable fans to attend the tasting and concert from 2-5 PM. After 5 PM, tickets are for the concert only, with BBQ available for purchase separately. All tickets are available online.

FOR SATURDAY 10/4/14 – ANNIVERSARY – DOUBLE WIDE – 5 PM
OFF THE AVENUE – From “Dallas Culture Map” – Double Wide marks 11 “twisted years” in Deep Ellum with a two block festival with several bands on Exposition Avenue, from Main Street to Elm. The fun starts at 5 PM, and tickets are $25.

WHAT’S ON TAP?
Save the date and time – Saturday November 8th at 7 PM! It’s time for one of Dallas’ most beloved events of the winter – the Dallas Becomes Chicago Pub Crawl at Victory Park. (Well it will be nearly winter time!) This is the original and only annually held Dallas Pub Crawl that is done by utilizing the light rail! Join us as we turn Dallas into Chicago for one night only, as we ride the DART train from bar to bar (House of Blues, hard Rock Café, Hooters and Dick’s Last Resort) down in Victory Park. You will receive a wristband, discounted food, drink specials, no cover charges, a DART pass, and a chance to win prizes. Your hosts will be the Mayor of Greenville Avenue, Tony G! – the Captain of the Fourth Ward, “Chicago” Pete and Ray “The Cruise Director” Hostetler. You loved doing it in the summer! Why wait for summer? Let’s do it again in November! (More details to follow!) THE DALLAS SEEN:
As usual many of Dallas’ most prominent were sighted on and off the Avenue last weekend! Here are just a few of those sightings!
On Sunday at Christie’s watching the Packers and Bears game were Erminio Lalli and “Chicago” Peter Krogulski! And according to the “Dallas Morning News” – “Johnny Football” on his bye week was seen having a good time watching football on Sunday afternoon with his buddies at the Katy Trail Ice House!
