Hello Dallas!  It's time once again to take a trip down our beloved Avenue!

****************************************************************

FOR FRIDAY 11/21/14 – LATE NIGHT HAPPY HOUR – STANDARD POUR – 9ISH PM

ON MCKINNEY AVENUE – This weekend brings visitors from out of town due to a big event in downtown Dallas on Saturday night! The Mayor of Greenville Avenue will be escorting at least one visitor around our fair city and plans are to hit at least some of the hottest spots in Uptown including the Katy Trail Ice House, Parliament, the Blackfriar Pub, Del Frisco’s Grille, Boxwood Tap and Grill, etc. However, if you want to catch up with us, we will be at the Mecca of all bars – the Standard Pour around 9 PM! The Standard Pour is located at the intersection of McKinney and Allen in Uptown. (The Mayor of Greenville Avenue will make an appearance.)

********************************************************************

FOR SATURDAY 11/22/14 – JFK COMMEMORATION – DEALEY PLAZA – 10 AM

OFF THE AVENUE – Never forget what happened in Dallas 51 years ago. Come down beginning around 10 AM and talk to witnesses who were actually there. Remember the life of President Kennedy. (The Mayor of Greenville Avenue will make an appearance.)

FOR SATURDAY 11/22/14 – INVITATION EVENT – DOWNTOWN – ALERT

OFF THE AVENUE – ALERT! For those taking DART rail to the invitation only event Downtown, please be aware that there will no rail service between Union station and Pearl station due to downtown construction. For those coming from up north, you can take the rail to Pearl and walk to the hotel. There will be bus links to navigate you past the construction spots, if you are adventurous for other routes.

THE DALLAS SEEN:

As usual many of Dallas’ most prominent were spotted on and off the Avenue!  Many great sightings occurred two weeks ago at the Dallas Becomes Chicago’s group Decades Pub Crawl through Victory Park!  Here are just a few of those sightings!

Thanks to the 128 paid people who registered for the Pub Crawl!  It was a great turnout on relatively shorter advance notice than usual for our pub crawls. The pub crawl began at the Hard Rock Café, where Ray “The Cruise Director” began his excellent job of emceeing and calling out winners for our awesome prizes!  The other hosts of this first November pub crawl for us were Tony G!– the Capitan of the Fourth Ward, “Chicago” Pete and yours truly!

After a great start at the Hard Rock we headed to Hooters, which despite our warnings to the bar was pretty packed already. However, they found a section for us and more merriment commenced! Then it was off for a side splitting funny time at Dick’s Last Resort!  Most of us were in stiches as we laughed so much wearing the silly hats that the wait staff mounted on our noggins!

Finally, it was the ultimate place as usual to wind it down – the House of Blues, where management and staff just love us! We had group pictures taken on the stage.

Oh and who were some of those prominent who showed up to party down? They included Mark Roux, Randy “The Enforcer” Wright, Ada, Erminio, Connie Weston, Melanie and a rare appearance by Maggie Shonsey! It was definitely a night to remember as everyone had a great time!
