Hello Dallas!  It's time once again to take a trip down our beloved Avenue!

FROM THE MAYOR’S OFFICE:

Yes, work including traveling, conflicts and holidays temporarily disrupted distribution of this newsletter, but I am back on track this week with some exciting upcoming events.  Plus, this newsletter has an announcement about one of Dallas’ greatest events being resurrected!  See below for details!

********************************************************************

FOR FRIDAY 5/30/14 – WATCHING PARTY – CHRISTIE’S – 6:30 PM

ON MCKINNEY AVENUE – It’s Game 6 of the Western Conference finals as the Chicago Blackhawks take on the Los Angeles Kings!  The battling Hawks are two games away from returning to the Stanley Cup finals and it should be a game to remember! Come out to Christie’s, which was packed with hockey fans for Game 4. The big screens will be carrying the game with the sound on. Please get there at 6:30 PM for the 8 PM game, as we need to procure some prime tables to watch the game. Please RSVP if you are planning on coming! (The Mayor of Greenville Avenue will make an appearance.)

FOR SUNDAY 6/1/14 – BIRTHDAY TOASTING – TRINITY HALL – 1 PM

OFF THE AVENUE – Polish the drinking vessels and create your best birthday toasts, and join friends and family at Trinity Hall in raising a pint to Christ O’Hagan (H.O.F.#125) who turns 50. Many tall tales and O’Haganisms to be shared. Special guest appearances, festivities, and great food and drinks are in store. Come meet The Pats and the rest of the O’Hagan family. (The Mayor of Greenville Avenue will make an appearance.)

UPCOMING EVENTS:

The legendary Dallas Becomes Chicago Pub Crawl returns! Save the date –Saturday July 26th! This will be the 12th annual event. The fun remains, but there will be big changes and improvements to make this an even better experience!

This is the original and only annually held Dallas Pub Crawl that is done by utilizing the light rail! Join us as we turn Dallas into Chicago for one night only, as we ride the DART train from bar to bar. Three of your original hosts return with the Mayor of Greenville Avenue, Kytari – the Princess of McKinney Avenue, and Tony G! – the Captain of the Fourth Ward!  But this year “Chicago” Pete joins us as a host to bring in more Chicago ideas! More details to follow!

THE DALLAS SEEN:

As usual many of Dallas’ greatest were spotted on and off the Avenue.  Here are just a few of those sightings!

Last Saturday over the holiday weekend, I decided to go see the much talked about comedy “The Neighbors” at Northpark. I walked into the theatre for the matinée performance and heard a person call my name! It was none other than Tony G!, who was there at the same time to also see this awesome movie!
