Good Morning Lisa and Shaun,
I was interviewed by the Progress-Index reporter Zoe Collins Rath in June 2021 about the Sustainable Urban Ag program at the HBCU Virginia State University (see weblink below). I strongly believe that Social Justice includes reclaiming our connection to the land which Black people had before our African ancestors were enslaved on plantations in the Americas. The HBCU VSU is an 1890 Land Grant University and the College of Agriculture has $10,000 scholarships available for HS seniors and community college grads who want to major in Food and Agri Science. If you know of a 2021 HS grad with a 3.0 or higher GPA and 1,000 or higher SAT score who is interested in attending VSU in Fall 2021 and majoring in Food and Agri Science then please visit:
