Hi Everyone,
I have SAS emails going to 2 different emails and one I check often and the other is a backup email. I was just catching up on email to the latter and to my dismay discovered I missed several wonderful events including the SAS conference. I was wondering if this camp offer was still available?

Good Afternoon,
I received notification today that our Rutgers Summer Science deadline has been extended to June 1 in an effort to recruit a few more youth to join. The focus is on freshman, and the week long summer camp is sponsored primarily by Samsung, who has an interest in seeing youth from Newark participate in the program. They are also interested in working with Essex County 4-H in the long term to maintain a strong STEM presence and are willing to provide some support to us.
Please circulate the attached information to any freshman you feel would be qualified, both in and out of Newark.
The week long camp includes transportation to New Brunswick, rooming in the dorms, all meals, and activities while on campus. The cost is $100, down from roughly $1000 as a result of the sponsorship from Samsung. Essex County 4-H can offer $50 scholarships to youth who are interested and in need of a scholarship. There is paperwork involved, transcripts must be submitted with the application as there are academic requirements… If you know of any youth interested, a staff member from my office would be happy to meet them at school or after school to help them complete the paperwork. We are also available to speak to classes if arrangements can be made quickly.
