Thank you for your time considering or sharing this opportunity. I am writing to share information about the GlassRoots School-Day Residency Program, a FREE 10 week in-school program designed for middle or high school students. During the residency, professional teaching artists work with students during the school day ( at the school's location) to introduce a range of glass art techniques including mosaics, glass etching, kiln-formed glass, and more. The program also incorporates important life skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership.
Due to the NJSCA funding timeline, the residency must be completed within this semester, so we are currently looking to confirm interested partners as soon as possible. We had a partner that became unable to fulfil the commitment at the last minute, so we are able to offer this program at no cost to new interested schools.
Please see the attached document for a full description of the residency program. We would be happy to discuss scheduling and how the program can be tailored to meet the needs of the students.
