We were able to accomplish so much with your support over the past two years.
Thanks to your support, we achieved significant milestones in 2024:
  • We distributed 1,000+ pounds of fresh, wild caught seafood to 200+ families.
  • We distributed nearly 8,000 pounds of locally grown produce to 75 families including college students over the course of 20 weeks.
  • We actively advocated for the development of urban agriculture and New Jersey's transition to a green economy.
  • We've either directly or assisted with the organizing of 42 community events and workshops, involving well over 900 participants.
  • We've hosted 10 virtual town halls and community meetings and/or presentations.
  • We have one community green development initiative underway.
  • We had nearly 50 volunteers assist us throughout the year ranging from high school students to participants over 50 years of age.
  • We had a combined 18 college interns, professional trainees, and youth ambassadors. We were able to pay our interns $20 an hour.
  • We collaborated with four different schools/colleges/universities.
Why stop here. With your support, we can accomplish so much more in 2025, especially with an established facility and a full-time staff.

It is through collaborative partnerships and the unyielding support of community partners like Clement A. Price Institute, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Bluepoint Wind LLC, Rutgers Institute for Corporate Social Innovation (RICSI), Community Foundation of New Jersey, Whole Foods Market Foundation (Whole Cities), Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, JP Morgan Charitable Gift Fund, South Wind Foundation, Winifred M. and George P. Pitkin Foundation Inc, City of Newark (Nourishing Newark Grants Program), and Northeast Organic Farming Association of NJ. There are countless others who saw the value in our organization that made small, but meaningful donations through our website, and I can't thank you all enough.

We hope that you can help us keep providing free programming, training, and services to the community as we move forward into 2025.
