Please see below for a description of the program and the application requirements.
Shiimti Apartments is a shared living program. Each resident has their own locked bedroom in a 3-BR apartment, and shares a kitchen, living room, and bathroom with two other residents. Each house has a Resident Assistant whose role is to model healthy living, respect, and effective communication and to encourage compliance with the lease. Residents must be able to live independently (getting along with housemates, cooking, cleaning, following house and program rules, etc.) as the house is not staffed 24/7. Case management and linkage to nursing, psychiatric, substance use, educational, vocational and other support services will be provided by University Behavioral Health Care/UMDNJ.
