Our Farm to Table Co-op officially starts on Saturday, June 27, 2020. Due to COVID-19 and a very late spring we are off to a late start, but we will need to identify ten South Ward residents by Friday, June 19, 2020.
We recently received a grant from RWJBarnabas Health (RWJBH) to help support and expand our Farm to Table Co-op. Part of my agreement is to ensure that some of our members are residents of the South Ward. Their full membership would be covered under our Sponsor A Family initiative, paid for by RWJBH. See attached flyer.
Each resident would have to complete and submit the attached membership form. We also would like for them to participate in our survey so we have some idea as to who our members are, what impact we're possibly making, and how we can improve the program and be an even more resource to them.
Malkia King, Executive Director of Keep America Beautiful Newark, who also supports this initiative, will assist to ensure that the South Ward residents receive their weekly share.
Let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to share with others.
Onward and upward....
