Hey there Amy A. Rowe,
My name is Tobias A. Fox, an
organizer for Newark’s Science and Sustainability (SAS) Working Group. We are a diverse group of college students, professionals, educators, and technicians working collectively for the common good of all life on this delicate planet of ours. I must add that we are all volunteers :-)
I recently participated in your rain barrel workshop conducted at the Greater Newark Conservancy. Awesome job! And I love my rain barrel! :-) I'd love to stay connected with you, attend any future workshops, and welcome your experience and expertise. The more informed we are the better choices we can make and the better gardeners/farmers we can definitely become :-)
We are currently meeting every Saturday at the lot/ The People's Garden at 86 ½ Garside St., Newark, NJ 07104 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
I've attached our collective thoughts of what this vacant lot will soon become. :-) The plan layout and report was designed or organized by SAS volunteer Beth Gray. Also, be sure to visit our blog, which was created and being maintained by SAS volunteer Dina Rodrigues. The link is below.
As Sir Ken Robinson stated, "Collaboration is the growth of stuff!" :-)
Peace and Solidarity,
Tobias A. Fox

"In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle and try to
change the problematic model. You create a new model and make the old one
obsolete. That, in essence, is the higher service to which we are all being
called.”
