Hi all,
I'm sorry I cannot come up until the 26th, but I'll definitely be
there then, and ready to work!
I'll have a couple of lavendar, and marigold - should be ready for
planting.
I'm also concerned about the water. When new sprouts are planted they
need to be watered practically every day (at the least every other
day) if it doesn't rain, until they are established - a week or so.
Is there anyone going to be available to do that?
I'll also bring an extra watering can, and I have an extra trowel and
a small digging tool to donate. and i'll bring the compost.
and I have a plastic garbage can (the kind used to put garbage on the
street).
Any use for that? If so, I'm happy to give it. I used it to hold water
on my garden plot, but have no need of it.
also - re a structure for the rain barrels - Tobias, I'm not sure
exactly what kind of frame you want to make - but have you considered
wooden pallets?
In the gardens here we use them for the bottom of compost piles (lets
the air through)
and they have many handy uses. We got a whole bunch from craig's list
free. Often companies give them away.
