Mayoral Candidates to Debate Jobs, Health and Environment
Join us at this important forum to learn where the candidates stand!

Dear Tobias,

The pollution burden on the residents of Newark is among the worst in the country, the public water system is in need of significant public investment, and access to healthy food is something that Newark residents are struggling with every day. Join us to hear from the mayoral candidates on these important issues!

Elections have consequences — and with all of the sound bites and slick campaign ads, it is hard to really know where candidates stand on issues that matter to voters like yourself. That's why we're teaming up with friends and allies to bring you the Newark Mayoral Candidate Forum on Good Jobs, Healthy Neighborhoods & Clean Environment. We need to hear what the candidates have to say on issues that affect all of us, like efforts to privatize the Newark water system, build gas-fired power plants and raise the Bayonne Bridge!

When: Monday, March 3 at 7 p.m.
Where: Essex County College
Check out the event page for more information.

It is important that we have a strong presence at this forum to make sure that the candidates know these issues are important to people like you. Join us and make sure your voice is heard.

Thanks, and I hope to see you there,

Matt Smith

yes, Food & Water watch is a great organization and they are very effective around the state with various issues, fracking for example.
I am also glad they are looking at the Newark situation.
