In honor of the 30th Anniversary of Bridges Outreach, Inc., the Trustees of Bridges take this opportunity to invite members of the Greater Newark Community to understand best practices for ending homelessness in our community. Lt. Governor and Commissioner for the Department of Community Affairs, Sheila Oliver, will give the keynote address to discuss the State’s “housing first” as the best model to end homelessness. We learn from Mayor Ras Baraka, Newark's current initiatives and long-term plans to end homelessness. Julia Orlando, Director of Bergen County Housing, Health, and Human Services Center will discuss how Bergen County has brought homelessness to virtual zero.
