Community Gardens - Getting Residents Involoved

I've attached a flyer in English and Spanish translation. This is how we got residents involved in our community garden. We distributed this flyer (English on one side, Spanish on the other) throughout the neighborhood and even went door-to-door informing residents that we were creating a garden for them and that they were more than welcomed to be a part of it and plant with us. We don't assign plots. We agree collectively on what we want to grow and how we want to layout the garden. We allow everyone's voice to be heard. People come and go, but the sense of community remains.
