The Newark, New Jersey water crisis began in 2016 when elevated lead levels were observed throughout the city. This resulted in the city of Newark’s Lead Service Line Replacement (LSLR) Program, a $170 million effort to remove lead service lines and replace them with copper pipes. We adhered to this safety measure and ensured that all our new service lines are made of copper to provide safer, more reliable drinking water. By donating today, you can help us establish a year-round sustainable, community urban farm so residents also have more access to fresh healthy food.
