Hope all is well, everyone. A fellow community gardener, Alex, is in need of vetiver or the Japenese fern that sucks the toxins out of soil. Any suggestions on how he can get some? Also, SAS plans to experiment with this at our lot at 86 1/2 Garside St.

Hi
I've been told sunflowers detoxify soil. I'm trying this out this summer. Have a plot where nothing thrived since lot owner poisoned lot with weed killer. So far, they're growing OK. Slow to flower, though, compared to others. The test will be if other plants will grow there next year.

Sunflowers and clover together are a great combo. :)

I'll try that. Where can I get clover seed or plants?

I think places that sell grass seed often also sell clover seed because it revitalizes the soil?
