The People's Garden Calendar

If you click on the link it will take you to The People's Garden Calendar. I was asked by a Garside Street resident to create this calendar as a means for people to announce when they will be visiting and/or working in the garden. With the summer's temperature reaching the 90's it's important to keep the plants watered in the very early mornings and/or during the evenings when the sun is not able to burn the plants. June was a very wet month and it looks feels like July will be a very hot one.

When you click on the link at the bottom of the calendar are tabs for each month JANUARY, FEBRUARY, MARCH, etc.

Garden Update
With friends like Cass and Chuck my adversaries don't stand a chance. :-) We accomplished a lot yesterday, Saturday, July 1, 2013, despite the heat. I was there at 10:00 a.m., Cass, Chuck and Cass's friend Steve around around noon and we didn't leave until about 5:00 p.m. We had plenty of snacks and beverages to keep us energized. We are expanding over to the other side of the lot and plan to have 4 additional beds by August. More residents would like to grow in the garden and we need a few more raised beds.

We'll be posting pics and videos soon.
