water boxes @ present

- Damien: 450 more are needed (for now)
- still need about $200 in others materials (see Solar Panel
instruction packet)
- Tobias: As for storage, will reach out to Nadia O kelly of East
Orange (involved w/ the city and community garden)
- Will reach out to Chris from NCC as well

- Chuck: Knows where to get the drums, biggest issue is storage
- Damien: already created the solar bike, used instructiosn from times
up ny website
- says to go to forklift companys for deep cycle batteries, was
able to get 8 through occupy easton this way, they only use the
batteries half way
- has a connect @ verizon, verizon buys 10 year batteries and
only uses them for one. trying to get the batteries from them

Genesis Farm
- Dina: Trip is Saturday April 17 @ 10am, need to be heading out about
8am
- 2 hr tour of the farm then we are free to roam
- Use google doc to specify whether you are going and if you

- Google doc was embedded in the email that dina sent,
contact Dina if you did not receive the email

Greater Newark Conservancy
- Info obtained by Charles
- the conservancy is doing a solar panel workshop @ $100
- can be a resource for our gardening and will be offering a
workshop on hydroponics as well
- Harriet Tubman school has an outdoor plot which we can view as an
example
- Could not get all the info that was needed, will stay on it and
keep us posted

Temperature Check
- All ON working groups will meet in Military Park once the weather
warms up
- Agree

- Designate the 18th of every month (ON's anniversary) as a day of
action
- spearheaded by science and sustainability, but to be presented to
ON as a whole
- Yarrow : possibility of being spread too thin to commit to a
monthly thing, perhaps schedule all major events for the 18th
- Balam: Do it seasonally? Not every single month
- Maya: Do it if ON as a whole commits
- Dina: It might be good to have some sort of scheduled thing, we
need to be able to committ
- Tobias: Monica sent a link about a really really really free
market day, maybe we can do that
- Potentially undecided as yet, seems like a go

Proposals
- Damien: Solar Air Heater (see packet)
- the panel, if created, will NOT store head. will only generate
it when the sun is out
- will act as a cooling system in the summer
- there are other, more expensive, options for heat storage
- consensus: proposal tabled for now but will continue to collect
materials

Announcements
- Monica: In Our World @ The Ethical Culture Society in Maplewood
- will email info
Ellen : a part of the org Big Pharma Exposed, which exposes
pharmaceutical companys
- interested in doing a teach in, will propose later

Peace Monica. This looks good. Thanks. Point of information: The Genesis Farm trip is Saturday, April 7th. The tour begins at 10am which means we'd have to meet up an leave by 8:30am. The tour ends at 12noon but we are welcomed to stay later. :-)
