HELLO TO YOU ALL!!!!!

Well, yesterday, Wednesday, April 4th, was the last day of the Solar Technology Teach-In Series and Damian did an awesome job! I'm sure those who participated really got a lot out of it. I would like to thank all those from the SSWG who helped by attending and/or assisting with promoting this event. I have another NCC location that would welcome our teach-ins as well. This location is near Path-Mark over at the intersection of So. Orange Ave and Bergen St.in Newark.

As for Science and Sustainability, we are shifting gears a bit. We have the trip to Genesis Farm this Saturday, April 7th and I have a list of locations in Newark to visit for us to establish our community garden. I want to get a nice size lot so we could build a make-shift greenhouse, a couple rain barrels, a hydroponic system, and at least two DIY solar panels . I'll keep you all posted.

Dina should be reaching out to all those who have confirmed that they will be attending the Genesis Farm trip either today or tomorrow. Just a reminder about this trip: $5 per adult, free for children. The tour is from 10am - 12noon,, which means we need to leave between 8:00-8:30am. Also, it is suggested that you bring your own lunch and please dress for outdoor weather.
