A true community partner and friend to many of us in the urban agriculture movement has been "forced" to close the doors to her restaurant on Halsey St, but still has the 550 Broad Street location. Let's do what we can to support those who are supporting the work we're doing. Let's help Carissa stay afloat by scheduling our meetings, breakfast and lunch dates at her establishment when possible. --Tobias

Harvest Table
Dear Friends and Patrons,

THE LEMONS
There have been lots of exciting changes downtown in the last several years, and I’m proud to have been a pioneer in Newark's long-coming "renaissance!” Unfortunately, this development comes at a price. It is with great regret that after more than 11 years of serving the downtown community, Harvest Table is being forced out of our home on Halsey Street.

THE LEMONADE
Fortunately, as some of you may know, we opened a new location at 550 Broad Street in 2016, allowing us to continue to serve the wonderful friends and patrons we’ve met over the last decade.

THANK YOU
If you’re receiving this email, it’s because you are one of those people ─ a friend and/or patron who has supported us over the years ─ and I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to you.  Without you, Harvest Table would not have experienced the success and growth it has. You helped us pioneer the Newark “renaissance” that has made Halsey Street the hot-spot destination it is today. Because of you, we’ve been able to employ countless Newark residents, host interns, and educate staff and patrons on healthful eating.

My biggest joy has been getting to know the eclectic crowd of our faithful customers. Many of you have become my close friends, and I even married one of you! No other experience would have brought us together like this, and I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to know and serve you.

THE SAME TABLE YOU LOVE
But, this is NOT goodbye! We’re just a couple of blocks away!  We still deliver. You can order online via our website, or call in your order  for delivery. (See contact info below.)  At 550 Broad Street, we serve the same delicious menu, with a few added bonuses, including daily hot lunch specials and a juice bar! So, if you haven’t already been there, I encourage each of you to take a li’l walk and check out our new digs. The space is bigger, brighter, and better! And, if you know anyone who works nearby, please let them know we’re there, eagerly waiting to meet them. We still cater events too, so there are lots of reasons to keep us top of mind.

I’m looking forward to this new chapter. I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years have in store for Harvest Table, and for the downtown community. Again, thank you for your patronage and friendship. Please come visit us at 550 Broad Street! As an added incentive, you can enjoy a lemonade on the house when you do. Please see the information below.

See you at the Table!
~Carissa
