Hey Tobias! It's Jose from the Newark Students Union, I attended the Sustainability conference with Katherine Ramos. I'm writing this email to inform you about a demonstration we will be having Sept. 9th in regards to Cami Anderson's One Newark Plan and the city's demand for local control as well as several other demands. Essentially the idea is to shutdown three target schools and march down towards Military Park where we will conduct a general assembly as well as freedom workshops/skill shares. We're currently looking for people that would be willing to contribute with the skill shares and I automatically thought of you. Aside from getting a large turnout, the other goal is to inform and equip as many students as possible. The key is to recognize that we are all being affected by the ill-state of our schools, and that we are all part of a larger collective that should come together in moments like these. Hopefully you can stand in solidarity with all of us in the day of the action. If so, it would be greatly appreciated.

did you go to this? I'm sure you contributed a lot. It's wonderful that the youngsters are carrying on the attributes of OWS - such as general assemblies and outside trainings.
