Dear 2023 Newark Reviewers,

 

I hope you’ve been keeping well!

 

Whole Cities launched our 8^th annual Newark Fresh, Healthy Food Access Grant last week. As you know, this program supports organizations in all five wards that are increasing access to long-term healthy food or nutrition education in Newark with grants up to $20,000.

 

We were so honored to have your insight and expertise on our panel last year and would love for you to join our Newark Community Advisory Council again! Here’s what’s involved:

Timeline for the Advisory Council

• 2/19: Deadline to sign up for the Newark Community Advisory Council (NCFS members who are not applying for the grant are expected to participate on the council)
• 2/26: Welcome email sent (including next steps, orientation information, list of organizations that submitted applications)
• 3/12: Reviewers will be assigned approximately 6 applications to read and score. Each application takes about 20-30 minutes to review and score.
• 3/27: Review panelists’ scores due
• Mid-April: Grant Partners Announced

As an appreciation for your time, we will send you a $100 Whole Foods Market e-gift card upon completing the review of all applications assigned to you.
