Volunteers for Newark-based gardens/urban farms

Members of the Newark Community Food System are coming together to develop a volunteer program that will assist with the following: maintain gardens/urban farms access, setting up events, watering, etc. This Volunteer Access Network is to provide a framework for community, corporate, and student volunteers to assist with local growers needs and their community green spaces. This would also require the development of a volunteer database and calendar, that would allow specific volunteer slots and garden managers to post their volunteer needs.
