Hello Newark-Based Applicants, Partners, Reviewers, and Friends!
Whole Cities began working with Newark based organizations in 2017, and since then we’ve invested over $1 million with 29 nonprofits to expand access to long term healthy food and nutrition education. We believe no one knows the barriers to healthy food access or the most effective solutions better than the communities who face these realities every day, and we trust the experts- community members- to tell us how to best invest our funds. This is why the Newark Fresh, Healthy Food Access grant partners are chosen in partnership with a group of Newark residents each year and why our focus is on funding locally led organizations with broad community support.
We plan our funding out in 3-year commitments. We’ve had the honor of partnering with Newarkers the past 6 years, and we’re looking forward to making another 3-year commitment of our grant funds for 2023-2025. To do so, we’re asking for input on what shape our programs should take going forward, and we’d love to hear from you!
Could you please complete our 3-question survey by Friday, November 11?
