A GIVING HEART


Have you a heart of compassion,
one that overflows with God's love?
A giving heart is an attribute of God,
filled with His Spirit from above.

All around us, we see hurting people
many with no hope for tomorrow,
Yet we know our Savior can help,
He alone can give joy for sorrow.

When we point the way to the Master
we show others the way to true peace,
Only in Christ can one receive true joy,
and the great love of Jesus, which will never cease.

A giving heart reaches out to others
we are to be the hands of the Savior extended,
When the love of God is shared with others,
hearts that are broken can be mended.

So do unto others according to the golden rule
and life will be happy and fulfilled,
For when we obey the words of the Lord,
we receive His blessings, as we abide in His will.
