                Getting caught up is a multi-year task for most of us. Once in a while I wish Jesus would stand outside the window and call out, “Drop everything! Let the dead bury the dead. Follow me.” In a few months much can be dropped, just not quite yet.

 

 

 

                This Sunday, Rev. Nyhart will be preaching. Then on Ash Wednesday Lent begins as does our Lenten theme “Journey to Hope”. We will travel with Jesus to the cross, discovering along the way that Hope can be found even as we encounter some of life’s most difficult circumstances.

 

We will begin with Ash Wednesday’s Scripture. Mark 8:31-37 is the point at which Jesus turns toward Jerusalem where He will be crucified. Begin with ashes and end the season with cleansing water.

               

During Lent there will be the opportunity to make the journey at Sunday worship, Bible studies,, small group experience, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, short videos and/or personal testimonies. I hope you can find some space in your life to make this season a powerful one.
