Shrove Tuesday is the day before the beginning of Lent. Sometimes called Pancake Tuesday and/or Fat Tuesday, it is the day for eating rich  foods that are supposed to be off limits during Lent. We do pancakes from 5:00 to 7:00pm.

We will have an Ash Wednesday worship service Feb. 22 at 7:00 pm.

Traditionally Ash Wednesday has a dual purpose: we confront our own mortality and confess our sin before God in light of God’s redeeming love in Jesus Christ.

Ashes- saved from the burning  of a previous year’s palm branches- are used as a sign of mortality and repentance. A cross using the ashes is marked on the forehead.

Join us Wednesday evening for this service marking the beginning of Lent.
