Dear Brothers and Sisters,

You will recall that at our last main meeting in September 2016, we agreed to embark on a project for Mawuli School as part of our 40th Anniversary celebration. The whole idea is to have one homecoming event in 2017 around the September 21 regardless of the day on which it falls. This is a Public Holiday in Ghana. This would give a reference point for all of you outside Ghana and even here, to see the majority of those at home all at once.

The planning committee, led by Andrew Hlomador, has suggested a tentative programme to be discussed by all of us. I want us to make our comments within the next one week so that it can be finalized and everyone can start making plans.

Wednesday, 20th September - Day with Students and Outdooring of our Project**
Thursday, 21st September - Excursion to Wli Waterfalls, Mt. Gemi
Friday, 22nd - Return to Accra and rest
Saturday 23rd  - Afevu/Dinner dance
Sunday 24th - Thanksgiving Service at Adenta E.P. Church and Group Photo

**The Project - discussions have more or less been concluded for the installation of an interactive electronic/white board in the library
The committee has had an exploratory meeting with the school authorities.
Cost of project is ¢21,000 plus small paint works for the library.
The payment schedule is as follows:
50% first week in June
30% in September
20% in December

Our total contributions so far will cover the 50% and the renovations.

I am hopeful that we can all put our hands on the plow and do this.

I would like to remind you that the National Executive Committee has also circulated a list of Projects for Year Groups to consider. We shall discuss them as time goes on.

Please send in your comments. Well, for those not on the Whatsapp platform, you will miss some of the discussion but I shall endeavor to come back with conclusions

Dear Isabella,
Thank you for your explicit information on the above celebration and project. The tentative programme is impressive and appreciated.
Can you kindly inform us on the venue of the Afevu and Dinner.

Secondly, Some of us will be comfortable to note that funds gathered so far meets up to 80% of the total cost for the project.

Kind Regards

Dear Friends,

I am writing in response to Regina's concerns. We indeed have enough money to cover the entire budget for our flagship project, as you can see from our hard-working Bursar's (Justice Gaveh) compilation.  At least now, I can pull the brakes on taxing further anyone who has already made their contribution in full. Trust me, I will come back later.

For those who have not contributed any money at all, I wish to encourage you to send it to Justice. Fill in the gaps. If persuasion fails, force will be applied. We have a celebration to organize. Additionally, their are other projects listed by the National Executives to consider. Once we are able to complete ours, we have to also help out with other needs of the school that have been identified.

In the meantime, start putting your holiday funds aside for a BLAST!!! The budget for that will be posted later.

Yours sincerely.
