hey guys, do any of you know about any information about the correlation of CD8 cells and Elite controllers??.....Also, do any of you have any information about Elite Controllers being explained by main stream and being explained by our side in a more scientific way?

It just that when I sit down with doctors they always look at me and say well you are an elite controller so you are different and there is not too many people like you out in the world so we dont know what to do with you...this makes me frustrated because i dont have an intelligent response other than (we were given that label by main stream as a way to cover their ass)....but i dont want to go that route, but i wished i had other documents about this "elite controller thingy" that i could add to my binder and pull out as a point of reference when debating the hiv myth...

if you have any suggestion, please share. thanks!

Hi Tamika,

I've is that the same thing as a 'long term non progresser'? I've heard the term but don't have the answers your looking for unfortunately. Do you mind me asking why they have termed you an elite controller? i.e. what is it about your particular details/ health status that deems you as such in their eyes? (No probs if you don't wish to discuss). I was diagnose 3 years ago the coming June presumed infected in July of 2007 or 2008 and have never taken meds or been ill in any way. I stopped attending services 18 months ago as I don't believe any of it but am still very interested in this idea of a set group who do not develop aids (according to the orthodoxy)- what are there criteria or, as that's basically your question, what are the criteria they say you meet which allows them define you as a non progresser and what then is their prognosis for you long term- do they still push meds?

Sorry for questions rather than answers!

Hi thanks for responding. I have that label because I have had the so called disease for 18 years and I have no disease progression and never been on Meds. It's very frustrating when a doctor says I should feel "lucky"....that angers me...I just need to be armed with information that disproves that "I should feel lucky" statement because I've heard it too many times and no I don't feel lucky, I feel angry.
