Sekonic Launched SR1800 OMR Scanner

Sekonic Corporation Japan , who are one of the manufacturer of HIGH
Quality OMR Scanners have launched the OMR Scanner SR1800 . This
scanner is targeted to the K-12, Schools and Colleges for OMR
Scanning .

Sekonic targets this for USA , Turkey and INDIA Market . At the Launch
of the same Mr Hiroshi Oda , International Business Manager said we
are hopeful of creating new series to capture the market .

Lot of customers demanded lower end solution , but OMR Only and not
image based have accepted the fact that Image scanning accuracy is
sustainable to suspicion if the operators are not skilled .

Scanner is 1800 scans/hour , can scan upto legal size of paper . Its
Duplex Option with capablity of reading both pen and pencil with
optional like printer and barcode reader . As of now Sekonic has
released without Printer and Barcode reader ,but they would be
upgrading to optionals like printer by August 2009 .

The system is very small size and is just 4 KG in weight which is a
very indifferent from Sekonic Make . Their all scanners are heavy and
so meant for heavy scanning only .

The cost of the scanner is approx USD 3500-4000 ( depending upon
Optionls , may be different at places like India where there are high
Customs Duty on them ) Software Markview is inclusive which can
transfer data from OMR to Excel
