Omnipay version 3.0.2 and currency handling with Mollie.

Hello, as far as I can see from docs, version 3.0.2 always allowed for sending of purchase requests with currency field, but Mollie is claiming that I need to upgrade to the Mollie Client V2 to be able to send these currency requests. We cannot upgrade to that version due to legacy issues, and also we prefer to stick with the Ominipay library. But do I need to upgrade the version of Omnipay in order to send currency specific purchase requests?
