To the OmniPath developers,

Hope you are well. My name's Jin and I'm a bioinformatician at BenevolentAI. We've come across your database and found it highly interesting. We'd like to know whether you keep versions/release history of your data (not the pypath API) anywhere for users?

Many thanks,

Jin

Hi Jin,

In the web service we first loaded the data in 2016 and updated only
recently, 14 June this year.
You are completely right, it would be necessary to keep an archive
with version numbers in order to make sure if someone carries out
analysis with our data it does not change in a sudden and untraceable
way. Thanks a lot for raising this point I will definitely do this
soon.

In pypath the data depends on the cache management by the user but at
first download it is always the most recent from all resources.

Best wishes,

Denes
