Creating a Base Station in OMNeT++

Hello,

I am trying to create a base station in OMNeT++ that will talk to some nodes/hosts in my system.  I am relatively new to all this stuff and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.  I am also utilizing the MiXiM framework.  I am told that we're using Zigbee technology, if that helps at all.

What I want is something like this:

|Base-Station|<-------->|Router|<-------|Nodes|

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Hi Nick,

the recommended starting points would depend on what you actually want
to simulate.

I understand you probably cannot disclose some details of your project
but maybe with these info some more people might give you a hint:
Mobility?
Focus on routing (e.g. to show the project improves latency),
application (e.g. to show a distributed algorithm works correctly) or
physical layer (e.g. to show a reduction of collsions/etc)?

Erik,

Thank you so much for replying.  I have a couple wireless sensor modules and I want to simulate these modules sending data to a base station.  I guess it's just simple data routing from the mobile sensor nodes to the base station.  The nodes only send data in one direction to the base station.  Let me know if you can offer any insight or need any more info.  It's not a secret project so I can tell you whatever you need, thanks again!!!

there is an example project name "Aloha" in samples/aloha that might help a little bit.
